Economic Policies Research Unit is a research centre in Economics and Management that is organizationally affiliated with the University of Minho. The centre was created in 1999 and has currently 32 full members. NIPEs research activities are organized in four research groups: (i) Industrial and Labour Economics; (ii) Public and Regional Economics; (iii) Macroeconomics; (iv) Management and Finance. NIPE is funded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) and is currently ranked in second place among Portuguese research centres in the field of Economics.
